Emerson Electric Raises Fiscal-Year Adjusted. Profit Outlook

Emerson Electric raised its adjusted profit outlook for the rest of its fiscal year, after the industrial manufacturer reported results for the recently ended quarter that topped analysts' expectations.
The St. Louis-based company is targeting a fiscal-year adjusted profit of $4.40 a share to $4.45 a share, up from prior outlook for adjusted earnings of $4.15 a share to $4.25 a share.
The company is now targeting sales growth of 10.5%, the high end of its previous guidance.
Emerson Electric's fiscal year typically ends in September.
