Aker Carbon Capture and Aramco Sign Deal to Explore Opportunities
By Dominic Chopping
Norway's Aker Carbon Capture said Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Aramco to explore partnership opportunities around deploying carbon capture, utilization and storage and industrial modularization in Saudi Arabia.
The carbon-tech company said the agreement is for two years and is expected to focus on carbon emissions reduction and removal through CCUS from industries and energy solutions by offering modular carbon-capture plants and aftermarket services.
The parties also aim to assess the potential for developing local supply chains and module fabrication as well as exploring the possibility of developing modular solutions across industries in Saudi Arabia.
