Naturgy to Build New Biomethane Plant in Spain
By Giulia Petroni
Naturgy will build a new plant for the production of biomethane with a capacity of 20 gigawatt hours a year, the energy group said Thursday.
The plant, which will be located near Valencia and is Naturgy's fifth biomethane plant in Spain, is set to be operational by the beginning of 2025. The project will involve an investment of 2.7 million euros ($2.9 million).
The plant will use agroindustrial waste and have the capacity to supply more than 5,300 households with gas from renewable sources, Naturgy said.
