Deutsche Post AG to Rename as DHL Group
By Mauro Orru
Deutsche Post said Monday that it would operate under the name DHL Group starting July 1, underscoring the weight of its DHL brand and increasing internationalization.
The German logistics group said its stock ticker, currently DPW, would change to DHL, though the group's parent company will continue to use the name Deutsche Post AG.
More than 90% of the group's revenue comes from businesses trading under the DHL brand, including DHL Paket in Germany.
The company also said that its DHL eCommerce Solutions division would be renamed DHL eCommerce in the future, though all other DHL divisions and Post & Parcel Germany will continue to operate under their current names.
