By Chris Wack

Beamr Imaging shares were up 86% to $4.26 after Nvidia released its of Video Codec SDK 12.1, which supports Beamr's Content Adaptive Bit Rate library.

The stock hit its 52-week high of $8.04 earlier in the session. The company had its initial public offering in February.

The Video Codec is part of the new Nvidia Encoder, which features enabling enhanced video processing use-cases on Nvidia GPUs.

The company said this collaborative effort is looking to deliver fully standard compliant bit streams with the lowest possible bit rate for a given perceptual quality.

The integration of CABR with NVENC will allow a range of powerful use cases, unlocking new use cases offering significant benefits for video encoding. These use cases include reducing bit rate of a target encode while preserving quality, as well as codec modernization.

In March, Beamr Imaging Ltd. said that its video encoding technology officially supports Nvidia GPU acceleration, offering up to 10 times faster encoding speed on Nvidia GPUs compared to other CPUs.
