Intuitive Surgical Names David Rosa President
By Colin Kellaher
Intuitive Surgical on Tuesday said it named 27-year veteran David Rosa president of the provider of robotic-assisted surgical technology.
The Sunnyvale, Calif., company said Mr. Rosa, 55 years old, assumes the post from Gary Guthart and will lead its product, digital, quality, regulatory, supply-chain, manufacturing and commercial teams.
Mr. Guthart will continue to serve as chief executive, the company said.
Mr. Rosa, who joined Intuitive in March 1996, had been serving as executive vice president and chief strategy and growth officer.
Intuitive said Bob DeSantis, previously executive vice president and chief product officer, assumes the newly created post of executive vice president and chief strategy and corporate operations officer.
