By Colin Kellaher
GE HealthCare Technologies on Tuesday said it named James Saccaro vice president and chief financial officer, plucking the executive from medical-products maker Baxter International.
GE HealthCare said Mr. Saccaro, 50 years old, succeeds Helmut Zodl, who will remaining with the Chicago healthcare-equipment giant as global vice president and head of special projects related to its separation from former parent General Electric.
Mr. Saccaro, who has been Baxter's chief financial officer since July 2015, is taking on his new post on June 1.
Baxter said Brian Stevens, who has been senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller since 2018, would serve as interim finance chief while the company conducts a search for a successor.
GE Healthcare said Mr. Saccaro will receive an annual base salary of $875,000 and an annual bonus with a target of 100% of his base pay.
Mr. Saccaro has spent more than two decades with Baxter over two stints that bracketed a turn as chief financial officer of Hill-Rom Holdings, which Baxter acquired in late 2021.
