Halliburton Introduces Agile Asset Management to Accelerate Capital Investment Decisions
Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) today introduced Agile Asset Management (AAM), an artificial intelligence (AI) powered, cloud-based Landmark solution that helps oil and gas companies evaluate development concepts and identify the optimal investment case. AAM connects subsurface, wells, facilities, and economic workflows, allowing teams to compare alternatives against corporate metrics and make traceable, data-driven decisions across the asset lifecycle.
AAM uses proprietary AI to connect data and workflows across disciplines. Agentic AI supports data retrieval, quality checks, and user guidance, which gives experts access to richer information and helps teams significantly reduce the time from concept to investment decision. Scientific analysis and management judgment remain central to the process.
"Aker BP has set an ambition to reduce time to first oil by 50%. In order to achieve this ambition, it demands a fundamental change in how field development decisions are made. Together, we co-developed Agile Asset Management to change how we plan and evaluate field development. By orchestrating data and workflows in one shared environment, AAM enables our teams to evaluate more development alternatives, understand risks and cross-domain impacts earlier, and maintain a traceable and auditable basis for every decision.
"AAM is redefining how we make field development decisions and is a key enabler in turning Aker BP’s faster first oil ambition into reality," said Tommy Sigmundstad, SVP Drilling and Wells, Supply Chain and Logistics, Aker BP.
“Agile Asset Management brings technical and economic work into one collaborative environment so multidisciplinary teams can evaluate more development alternatives with speed and confidence,” said Tony Antoun, senior vice president, Halliburton Landmark. “AAM gives management a clear, traceable record of the data and assumptions behind the preferred field development case.”
Its open architecture integrates Halliburton, third-party, and customer-developed applications, allowing customers to use their preferred tools and share information across a common process.
AAM provides operators a faster, more connected path from development concept to confident investment decision.
