Experienced Wolters Kluwer executive to lead Corporate Tax as business expands its global indirect tax capabilities
Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in professional information, software solutions and services, today announced the appointment of Tomàs Font as General Manager of its Corporate Tax business, part of the Corporate Performance & ESG division.
Wolters Kluwer is expanding its support for corporate tax departments and building a more complete indirect tax offering to serve a broader market of multinational organizations. The recent acquisition of Marosa, a provider of VAT compliance and e-invoicing solutions, adds those capabilities to Wolters Kluwer’s established CCH SureTax U.S. sales and use tax offering. Planned VAT Determination capabilities will further extend the offering, supporting Wolters Kluwer’s expansion into the global indirect tax market.
“As we build a more complete indirect tax offering for multinational customers, our ambition for this business has grown considerably,” said Maria Montenegro, CEO of Corporate Performance & ESG at Wolters Kluwer. “Tomàs has led growth and transformation in the tax software market across geographies with Wolters Kluwer for nearly two decades. He is well positioned to lead Corporate Tax into this next chapter.”
Leadership for the next phase of Corporate Tax
Font brings 18 years of experience at Wolters Kluwer, most recently leading the Tax & Accounting Europe South region. He has grown software businesses, led major transformation initiatives and developed teams across markets.
“Large companies and multinational corporations face growing complexity as tax requirements become more digital and cross-border,” said Font. “Wolters Kluwer has an opportunity to simplify how customers manage these demands through a more connected, comprehensive, and modern approach to indirect tax. I look forward to working with our teams and customers as we build a stronger offering for the future.”
Font succeeds Alberto de Benito Aznar, who has moved to become General Manager of Wolters Kluwer’s Audit & Assurance business within the Corporate Performance & ESG division.
