Cryomate Sperm Bank Opens Nashville Sperm Donation Center, Expanding Access to Diverse Donors and Advanced Genetic Screening
Second U.S. location joins Indianapolis, backed by genetic screening that goes beyond standard donor carrier panels
Cryomate, a CAP-accredited, FDA-registered, and CLIA-certified donor sperm bank, has opened a sperm donation center and andrology lab in Nashville, Tennessee. The new location joins Cryomate's Indianapolis lab and expands its donor recruitment into the Southeast, giving intended parents across the U.S. and internationally access to a broader, more diverse donor catalog.
More options for intended parents
As Nashville donors join the program, their profiles are added to Cryomate's online donor catalog. Access is free and includes genetic testing reports, a four-generation pedigree, family medical history, adult and childhood photos, and an audio interview. Cryomate ships donor sperm to fertility clinics nationwide and to homes for at-home insemination.
The same screening standards at every location
The Nashville donation center follows the same rigorous screening program used across Cryomate. The program is highly selective, with about 1% of applicants accepted after a thorough medical, personal, and genetic evaluation. Cryomate has also earned the REI Protect Seal of Approval, recognizing higher safety standards specific to reproductive endocrinology.
Genetic screening is where Cryomate goes beyond standard donor carrier panels. Using advanced exome-backbone technology, the program screens for more than 1,400 genetic conditions, including dominant conditions that most carrier screening does not cover. Every donor is also screened with chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), which can detect chromosomal changes that standard karyotyping and exome-based testing may miss.
"Choosing a donor is one of the most important decisions intended parents will make," said Dr. David Kulak, medical director of Cryomate and a double board-certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist. "Our role is to give them more options and more information, with screening that looks beyond standard panels, so they can make informed decisions based on their own family-building goals and needs. Our Nashville location helps us do that for more families."
Local services and donor recruitment
The Nashville location also offers semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation, and directed donor banking. It opened on September 8, 2026 and is open Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm. The center is recruiting men ages 21–39 who are interested in becoming sperm donors and helping intended parents build their families.
Cryomate serves individuals and couples on many paths to parenthood, including single parents by choice, LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, and couples experiencing infertility.
