Newegg integrates Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) checkout on Google, letting U.S. shoppers buy eligible Newegg products in AI Mode and Gemini.

With UCP, shoppers can go from conversation to purchase seamlessly. Using in-depth discussions of product specs, use cases, and more, shoppers can learn, make informed decisions, and check out on the spot through Google Pay without ever having to leave the conversation. The purchase happens in Google's experience, and Newegg fulfills and supports the order, bringing the depth of selection and technical expertise that PC builders and gamers rely on into the conversation.

"AI is changing how the world buys technology, and Newegg intends to be at the forefront of that change. We moved early to make our catalog shoppable inside AI experiences, and integrating Universal Commerce Protocol powered checkout across Google brings that vision to life in one of the most widely used platforms in the world," said Montaque Hou, Chief Information Officer at Newegg. "Wherever someone asks an AI what to buy, we want Newegg ready to answer."

"Newegg enabling UCP-powered checkout on Google marks a new milestone as we scale agentic commerce," said Ashish Gupta, VP/GM, Merchant Shopping, Google. "We’re building the future of AI-driven shopping together as an industry and this is another strong example of businesses delivering delightful, diverse experiences and products for their shoppers."

Google joins a growing set of AI surfaces where shoppers can find Newegg. Within ChatGPT, shoppers can add Newegg from the ChatGPT app directory to bring Newegg's live catalog, pricing, and deals into their conversations. Newegg was also among the first retailers to enable in-conversation checkout on Perplexity. UCP now brings that in-conversation checkout experience to AI surfaces across Google; it’s live now for shoppers in the United States and covers a growing selection of eligible Newegg products.

Newegg brings the same convenience to its own storefront through CelesteSM, its AI shopping assistant on Newegg.com, where shoppers can describe what they need, compare options, and check out in one conversation.
