OCC Welcomes IEX to its Growing Roster of Participant Exchanges

The addition reflects OCC's capacity to onboard new, independent exchange operators as the derivatives market continues to grow

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC)®, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, today announced it will provide central counterparty (CCP) clearing and settlement services for IEX Options LLC (“IEX Options”), a new options exchange from Investors’ Exchange LLC.

The addition marks OCC's first clearing relationship with IEX and brings OCC's total participant venues to 20 options exchanges, 2 futures exchanges, and one stock loan exchange.

“IEX brings a well-established track record and a different approach to options market structure,” said Andrej Bolkovic, Chief Executive Officer of OCC. “We're glad to extend the same clearing and risk management standards our participants rely on every day to this new venue.”

IEX has operated its equities exchange since 2016, with a market share above 4% of overall U.S. equity trading volume and approximately 8.5% of exchange-traded volume as of Q3 2026. IEX Options launched on Oct. 2, 2026, marking IEX's first venture into listed options trading.

“We appreciate the OCC and our work together as we bring IEX Options to market,” said Ivan Brown, Head of Options at IEX. “We look forward to our continued collaboration into the future.”

Clearing Members benefit from an expanding and diversified set of options and futures markets, all cleared under OCC as a single central counterparty. This addition reinforces OCC's role as the central clearinghouse for U.S. listed derivatives and its ongoing commitment to supporting the growth of its participant exchanges.
