Customers Bank Named a 2026 Innovative Bank Leader by FedFis
Data-driven recognition places Customers Bank among approximately 2.5% of eligible U.S. banks recognized for pairing its technology and disciplined execution for measurable results
Customers Bank, the nearly $27 billion subsidiary of Customers Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: CUBI), today announced that it has been named a 2026 Innovative Bank Leader by FedFis, a fintech data analytics firm, in partnership with Bankers Helping Bankers.
The recognition is based entirely on FedFis' proprietary Innovation Score©, which measures financial performance, technology adoption, and peer-relative execution. FedFis analyzed more than 4,261 U.S. banks with less than $30 billion in assets and named only 107 institutions as 2026 Innovative Bank Leaders, evaluating each against true peers within its asset class. Banks do not apply, submit nominations, or pay to be considered; selection is determined solely by FedFis’ underlying data.
"This recognition validates our approach as a bank: performance has to be earned in the data, not just claimed," said Sam Sidhu, President and CEO of Customers Bank. "FedFis’ analysis is entirely data-driven, which makes it a meaningful proof point for our single point of contact model and technology transformation. We will keep investing in the technology and talent to serve our customers at the highest possible level."
FedFis has tracked financial performance, technology-vendor decisions, and fintech partnerships across U.S. banks and credit unions since 1999. Bankers Helping Bankers, its peer-community platform, was developed in partnership with the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and participating state banking associations.
