Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. Announces General Rate Increase

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (Nasdaq: ODFL) today announced a general rate increase (GRI) of 4.9 percent applicable to rates established under the existing ODFL 559, 670, and 550 tariffs effective October 5, 2026. The GRI may vary by customer depending on specific shipment lanes and distance travel, and it also includes a nominal increase in minimum charges for intrastate, interstate, and cross-border lanes.

Greg P. Lawrence, Old Dominion’s Vice President – Pricing Services, commented, “Old Dominion remains focused on providing customers with a premium value proposition of reliable, on-time, claims-free service at a fair price. To continue meeting our customers’ expectations and supporting the commitments we make to them, we must continue to invest in the strength, capacity, and efficiency of our service network and technology systems. As a result, this GRI is designed to help offset continued cost pressures related to real estate, equipment, technology, and competitive wages and benefits for our employees. These investments will help ensure customers can continue to count on OD for the consistency, flexibility, and industry-leading quality of our service.”
