Fastly Launches New Global Event Series: Xcelerate 2024
In-person events will offer exclusive insights and hands-on learning to help deliver faster, more secure and engaging experiences at the edge
Fastly, Inc. (NYSE: FSLY), a leader in global edge cloud platforms, today announced Xcelerate 2024, a series of in-person global events developed exclusively to help Fastly’s network of developers, security professionals and business leaders deliver superior digital experiences at the edge.
The first event kicks off in San Francisco on April 4, 2024 with London, New York and Sydney to follow.
“Innovation at the edge is vital to building a better Internet,” said Todd Nightingale, Chief Executive Officer, Fastly. “Xcelerate is designed to focus on builders, on everyone providing a differentiated user experience online, with in-person luminary keynotes, breakouts, deep dives and importantly, peer networking. Attendees will learn to leverage the Fastly platform to boost performance, improve security, and create digital experiences that are fast, safe and engaging.”
Xcelerate 2024 will feature Fastly innovators, experts and customers, including Fastly CEO Todd Nightingale, Fastly Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Tyler McMullen, Senior Vice President of Engineering Laura Thomson, and Chief Product Officer Kip Compton, along withCisco’s Duo Security Division’s Global Head of Site Reliability Engineering Kwame Musonda, and JetBlue Cyber Security Architect Randy Naraine among others.
The event will also offer two technical tracks to provide a full day of immersive learning, networking and problem-solving. The first track will focus on security with a deep dive into the threat intelligence that powers the Fastly Next-Gen WAF, including bot protection and management, and the second track will focus on how Fastly helps drive performance and gains for our customers while paving the way for modern app development. Attendees will receive a unique look at the WebAssembly Component Model and learn how it fundamentally changed software development. They will also receive an exclusive preview of new features and capabilities coming to the Fastly Edge Cloud Platform.
