SEC 30-Day Yield

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) 30-day yield is a calculation based on income generated during the 30-day period ending on the last day of the previous month. The result is annualized to reflect the yield an investor would earn over an entire year, were that monthly yield to persist throughout a 12-month period.

SEC yield figures are collected by Morningstar and often lag by one month.
