Maximum Earnings
Maximum earnings refer to the most income you can earn each year while still receiving Social Security benefits. Any excess earnings will be deducted from Social Security income.
Some individuals may consider taking Social Security benefits before they retire because it helps them supplement their existing income. However, there are limits to how much one can earn while still receiving benefits. If an individual earns more than the limit and receives Social Security benefits, those benefits will be subtracted by the excess amount.
