Long-Term Debt

Long-term debt is the sum of the carrying values as of the balance sheet date of all long-term debt, or debt with a maturity of one year or longer.

This calculation excludes the portions thereof scheduled to be repaid within one year (or the normal operating cycle, if longer). Long-term debt includes notes payable, bonds payable, mortgage loans, convertible debt, subordinated debt, and other types of long-term debt.Note: We've updated our methodology to include items in the notes of financial statements that are considered "other" in the balance sheet.
