Lobbying

What is lobbying?

Lobbying is the practice of influencing political outcomes by political action committees or special interest groups.

Lobbying allows political action committees and special interest groups to impact what legislation is created and how existing laws are regulated. Companies can lobby by contributing money to political committees or special interest groups.

An excessive amount of lobbying may expose companies to political controversies or reflect excessive involvement in political affairs.
