Board structure is how a company’s board of directors is organized to protect shareholder interests.

A company’s board structure can give insight into how the board will make decisions. Board of directors can also form committees to bring accountability to company leadership and provide information to shareholders. This includes risk oversight, which forces the organization to identify risks and create plans to mitigate them.
