Columbia Threadneedle recently announced Columbia Seligman Technology and Information’s 2026 distribution estimates. As of Sept. 30, 2026, the firm projected that the fund will distribute roughly $53 to $70 per share on Dec. 9, 2026. Depending on share class, this distribution would be 23% to 32% of the fund’s net asset value as of Sept. 30, while the C share class is estimated to distribute 90% of its NAV, as its NAV is much lower than other share classes. Investors holding the fund in a taxable account should anticipate a large tax bill. The strategy has been on a hot streak as artificial intelligence technology stocks have seen massive gains. It gained more than 40% annualized over the trailing three years through October 2026. Top holding, Bloom Energy, has been a massive winner for the strategy, and manager Paul Wick has responsibly trimmed the position over time as it rose, which has helped contribute to the large estimated capital gains.
