Nissan Earnings: Improving Profitability on Track Thanks to Currency and Cost Reductions

Nissan reported 10% consolidated revenue recovery and 9% for auto segment in the fiscal first quarter despite declining retail volume. Currency benefits, cost reductions and one-time gains offset inflationary cost and loss at China JV and led to net income returning to a positive JPY 3.8 billion.
