On June 25, Merck KGaA announced its plan to acquire Bio-Techne in an all-cash deal at USD 73 per share, valuing it at USD 11.3 billion, a 24% premium to Bio-Techne's prior-day closing price. Investors reacted neutrally, with a slightly positive share price reaction.
