Booming gold prices drove a strong first quarter for Kinross, more than offsetting reduced volume and increased unit costs. Adjusted net income of USD 850 million, or USD 0.71 per share, was 135% higher than a year ago, and the USD 0.04 per share quarterly dividend was up 33%.
