L1 Group was formed through the merger of Platinum Asset Management, a well-known value-focused global equities manager founded in 1994, and L1 Capital, a diversified boutique manager focused on equities, alternatives, and property founded in 2007. L1 Group serves a diversified client base spanning retail and wholesale investors, high-net-worth clients, and institutional investors. It has approximately AUD 18 billion in funds under management as of December 2025.

How we make money

Our investment management business generates asset-based fees, which are calculated as a percentage of assets under management. We also sell both admissions and sponsorship packages for our investment conferences and advertising on our websites and newsletters.
