Cochlear Earnings: Contracting Delays for New Nexa Implant Weigh on Near-Term Growth

Cochlear's interim 2026 underlying net profit after tax was down 10%. Sales fell 2% due to contracting delays for the new Nucleus Nexa implant in developed markets. Inefficient manufacturing and distribution for Nexa and a shift to lower-margin emerging markets dragged further. Shares fell 19%.
