Vale Earnings: Moderately Weaker Than Expected, Despite Stronger Base Metals Results

Vale's fourth-quarter 2025 adjusted EBITDA of USD 4.8 billion is up 17% on a year ago due to stronger copper and byproduct prices led by gold. In contrast, adjusted EBITDA of its key iron ore business is flat, with higher unit cash costs more than offsetting improved sales volumes and prices.
