Power Corp. of Canada is a holding company that focuses on the financial-services sector. We estimate that its stake in two publicly listed companies, Great-West Lifeco and IGM Financial, accounts for approximately 85% of its total value. The firm simplified its ownership structure and cut corporate costs after it acquired all the shares of Power Financial in a 2020 restructuring.
