Merck KGaA reported second-quarter profit lower than the company-compiled consensus. Sales decreased by 2%, influenced by foreign exchange headwinds, which offset organic revenue growth of 2%. Adjusted EBITDA fell by 3.1%. Shares were trading 3% lower intraday after results.
