The company has benefited from its radical focus on addressing independent medium-size restaurants allowing it to out-innovate competitors and create deep integrations with clients. As a result, Toast has quickly expanded beyond a basic point-of-sale solution to create a vertically integrated platform across software, payments, and hardware.
