Vistra Energy: PJM Capacity Results Illustrate Near-Term Upside; Minimal Long-Term Change

The mid-Atlantic electric grid operator, PJM, announced on July 22 that clearing prices for the 2026-27 base capacity auction hit the federally approved cap at $329.17 per megawatt-day. Vistra reported clearing 10.3 gigawatts, or about 25% of its fleet.
