Pentair Earnings: Solid Margin Expansion Despite Macroeconomic Headwinds

Pentair's second-quarter adjusted earnings per share increased 14% from the prior-year period. Core sales were up 1%, as 7% growth in pool more than offset a 3% decline in water solutions and a 1% decline in flow. Management raised its full-year adjusted EPS outlook to $4.75-$4.85 from $4.65-$4.80.
