Becton Dickinson Finds a Partner for Its Biosciences and Diagnostics Business in Waters

Waters and BD have agreed to combine BD's biosciences and diagnostics unit with Waters. BD will receive $4 billion in cash and a 39.2% stake in the combination. The deal is scheduled to close in the first quarter of 2026. In early trading, Waters shares were down 11% and BD's were down 1%.
