J.M. Smucker Earnings: Strong Margin Despite Lower Sales; Shares Undervalued

J.M. Smucker's fiscal third-quarter results included comparable sales down 1% but gross margin expansion of 330 basis points. The firm lowered full-year comparable sales growth guidance to 0.75% from 1%-2% but increased adjusted earnings per share guidance to $9.85-$10.15 from $9.70-$10.10.
