D.R. Horton Earnings: Higher Mortgage Rates Have Sidelined Some Buyers, but 2025 Guidance Maintained

D.R. Horton reported solid first-quarter results considering mortgage rate volatility during the quarter. Home sales declined 2% year over year to $7.1 billion, while new orders were 1% lower. Homebuilding pretax margin fell 90 basis points to 14.1% due to sales incentives and growth investments.
