Sonic Healthcare: Bolstering German Division With Modestly Accretive Acquisition

Narrow-moat Sonic is acquiring Laboratory Group Dr. Kramer & Colleagues, primarily a pathology business in Germany, for EUR 423 million. Roughly half of the purchase price will be funded from scrip and the rest from existing cash. The deal is expected to close in the second half of fiscal 2025 and is subject to closing conditions, but we credit a three-month earnings contribution in fiscal 2025.
