Freshpet Earnings: Stellar Performance, but We Struggle to Justify the Skyrocketing Share Price

Freshpet's streak of robust top-line growth and margin expansion continued through the third quarter. Net sales were up 26% year on year to $253 million, and adjusted EBITDA expanded 560 basis points to 17.2%. Shares were up a low-double-digit percentage on the results and 75% for the year.
