Jeremy Glaser: For Morningstar, I'm Jeremy Glaser, and welcome to The Week Ahead. After a burst of economic data last week, investors will be eyeing a mix of things over the next few days.
On the earnings front there will be reports from across a few different industries, from homebuilder Lennar to BlackBerry. Narrow-moat Carnival will give us some idea of how travel demand is holding up in an uncertain world. Olive Garden parent Darden, which has been executing well on its turnaround plan, will give us an update on Tuesday. We'd expect to hear more about the TNT Express integration from FedEx.
Other reports include General Mills, Nike, and Bed Bath & Beyond.
In data, the consumption numbers on Thursday will be closely watched for a sense of how the consumer is holding up and also for another look at what is happening with inflation.
Other reports include the third estimate of third-quarter GDP, durable goods, new and existing home sales, and the University of Michigan consumer sentiment gauge.
Stay tuned to Morningstar for our take on these stories.
