Daily Dividend Report: GE, JPM, USB, FE, FITB

(MarketNewsVideo.com) -- At an analyst conference this afternoon, the CFO for General Electric (GE) announced the company expects to "grow the dividend in 2011".  Currently, the company distributes a quarterly dividend of ten cents per share which yields investors about 2.3%, but these numbers should grow next year.

Investors responded well to these statements as shares of GE climbed more than almost four percent.

In other dividend news, JP Morgan (JPM) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share. US Bancorp (USB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share. First Energy (FE) maintained its quarterly dividend of 55 cents per share. And Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 1 cent per share.
