(MarketNewsVideo.com) -- This morning, Telephone and Data Systems (TDS) declared its quarterly dividend of 11.25 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about one and a half percent going forward.

In morning trading, shares of TDS were trading slightly lower, off a little more than one percent.

In other dividend news, H&R Block (HRB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share. And Barnes & Noble (BKS) maintained its quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share.

Among dividend increases, Home Depot (HD) announced its quarterly dividend of 23.625 cents per share, an increase of about 5% over its prior dividend in December of 22.5 cents. And TransCanada Corporation (TRP) announced its quarterly dividend of 40 Canadian cents per share, an increase of about 5% over its prior dividend in December of 38 cents.
