In H1 2022, Global Equity Fund Flows Show Investors Have Stayed Put

Morningstar’s Global Fund Flows report breaks down flows by category, region, asset class and more for insight into investor behavior.

In the first half of the year, overall long-term net flows were mildly negative, but outflows in the second quarter were significant, particularly for fixed-income funds. Long-term mutual funds and ETFs had $136 billion in estimated outflows as assets fell to $38 trillion from $48 trillion at the end of 2021.
