Matthews recently opened two more actively run exchange-traded funds: Matthews China Discovery Active ETF MCHS and Matthews Emerging Markets Discovery Active ETF MEMS Like the nine other active ETFs that the firm has launched since mid-2022, the two new active ETFs leverage the same management teams, use the same investment processes, and have similar portfolios as the corresponding mutual funds (Matthews China Small Companies MCSMX and Matthews Emerging Markets Small Companies MSMLX). Matthews China Discovery Active ETF is run by co-lead managers Andrew Mattock and Winnie Chwang, while Matthews Emerging Markets Discovery Active ETF is run by lead manager Vivek Tanneeru along with comanagers Jeremy Sutch and Alex Zarechnak. Both teams employ a quality-oriented growth process. The two new ETFs have expense ratios of 0.89%, and—like all of the firm's other active ETFs—they are fully transparent.
