Summary

A sizable and experienced group guides Lord Abbett Inflation Focused, but the team swapped out an important contributor in 2022, when manager Hyun Lee departed the firm. Lee oversaw the strategy’s Consumer Price Index swaps book, which is the portion of the portfolio that explicitly aims to provide inflation protection. Manager Leah Traub, the firm’s global rates and liquid products leader, absorbed Lee’s responsibilities. The strategy’s remaining veteran managers are still in place, adding some stability here, including manager Kewjin Yuoh, taxable fixed-income group co-heads Steve Rocco and Rob Lee, and investment-grade corporates leader Andy O’Brien.
