MPLX Earnings: Heathy Gathering and Processing Volumes and M&A Activity Support Valuation Increase

MPLX’s first-quarter results were a bit better than we expected, mainly due to stronger gathering and processing volumes across the Marcellus, Utica, and Permian basins and some positive merger and acquisition transactions. We expect to increase our fair value estimate to $44 per unit from $40. We are maintaining our narrow moat rating.
