Volvo to Build New Truck Plant in Mexico to Boost North America Growth
By David Sachs
Volvo Group will build a new heavy-duty truck factory in Mexico to boost its production in North America.
The company said Thursday that the plant will support its growth strategy for the Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks brands in the U.S. and Canada. It will open in 2026, Volvo said.
The factory will also support Mack Trucks sales in Mexico and Latin America, the carmaker said, adding that its plants in Pennsylvania and Virginia will remain its main heavy-duty production sites.
