CRH to Acquire Remaining Stake of Adbri Valued at $700 Million

Building-materials supplier CRH agreed to acquire Adbri.
The Dublin, Ireland-based company said it will acquire the remaining 57% of Adbri's ordinary shares not owned by Barro, which is part of the agreement with CRH, for 3.20 Australian dollars ($2.10) a share. It said the offer values Adbri at an equity valuation of $1.4 billion on a 100% basis, while the value of the roughly 53% of share capital that CRH and Barro don't have an interest in and which CRH agreed to acquire is $700 million.
The transaction is expected to be completed in 2024.
