Lloyds Banking Group Shows Interest in Tesco Bank, Bloomberg Reports
--Lloyds Banking Group is said to be interested in making an offer for Tesco's banking branch, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.
--Talks between the lender and the British retailer are at an early stage and there isn't any certainty on whether the parties will proceed toward a formal offer, according to Bloomberg.
--The U.K. domestic bank is one of several potential suitors interested in a deal for Tesco Bank, Bloomberg reports. Reuters reported earlier this month that Barclays was considering an acquisition and had submitted an indicative bid.
--Lloyds Banking Group declined to comment while Tesco wasn't immediately available when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires.
