Shift4, Amazon Form Checkout-Free Shopping Partnership
By Will Feuer
Payments company Shift4 has struck a deal with Amazon to expand the use of Amazon's so-called Just Walk Out technology at stadiums and arenas.
The partnership will bring the technology to more stores at the United Center in Chicago, home to the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association and the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League.
Use of the Just Walk Out technology will expand from three stores at the arena to seven, the companies said. The expansion will be enabled by Shift4's VenueNext solution.
