Erste Appoints Ulrike Gehmacher as Head of Sustainability

Erste Group said Monday that it appointed Ulrike Gehmacher as its new head of sustainability effective from July 1.
Gehmacher will lead the Austrian banking group's environmental, social and governance office, which acts as an advisor to the bank's executive board and is responsible for crafting sustainability policies and ensuring its results are transparent.
Gehmacher joins Erste from Immofinanz where she developed the Austrian real estate company's sustainability strategy and decarbonization plan until 2040.
