China Southern Airlines' Net Loss Narrowed Sharply in First Quarter

China Southern Airlines' net loss narrowed sharply in the first quarter from a year earlier, thanks mostly to a nearly 59% increase in operating revenue.
The company's net loss shrank to 1.90 billion yuan ($274.9 million) in the January-to-March period from a net loss of CNY4.496 billion for the same period a year earlier.
Operating revenue increased to CNY34.06 billion from CNY21.47 billion.
